Crucible Theatre

The Crucible Theatre, opened in 1971 in Sheffield city centre, is a renowned 980-seat producing theatre known for its intimate thrust stage, where no seat is more than 20m from the action. Part of the largest theatre complex outside London, it hosts acclaimed theatrical productions and the annual World Snooker Championship.

Sheffield Theatres’ Box Office is located in the lower foyer of the Crucible building and is open Monday to Saturday 10am – 6pm for phone and counter sales. On performance days, the box office remains open until the shows have begun.
