Community funding in south-west Sheffield has been used for a wide range of local projects, from cricket equipment to benches and dry stone walling. Sheffield City Council's Local Area Committees were established in 2021, with each committee allocated funding to support schemes benefiting its communities. Hallam Cricket Club has received £1,912 towards equipment and resources aimed at supporting the growth of girls' cricket across the Crookes and Crosspool and Fulwood wards. Councillors are encouraging community organisations with suitable ideas to come forward for remaining funding.
