Free Sheffield seminar helps parents raise confident, competent children

Sheffield City Council is running a seminar for parents called Raising Confident, Competent Children.

In this seminar, parents learn about six important skills. These skills help children to feel confident and do well at school and in life.

The six skills are: being kind and respectful to others; being considerate; having good social skills; healthy self-esteem; solving problems; and becoming independent.

The session runs on Tuesday 1 December 2026, from 1.00pm to 2.30pm. Places can be reserved through the council's sign-up form, and anyone who has already booked can cancel their place by entering the email address they used to book.
