Sheffield City Council is running a free session with Shelter on homelessness and what to do if you think someone is homeless. It runs from 9.30am to 11.30am on Wednesday 9 December 2026.
During the session you will learn how to spot when someone may be homeless, how to make a homeless application, and the council's duties when someone makes one.
It also covers what to do if the council does not act correctly or makes a negative decision about someone's homeless application, and how and when to refer to Shelter.
Places can be reserved through the council's sign-up form for the event, and anyone who has booked can cancel their place using the email address they booked with.
