New bus links have been introduced across Rotherham and Sheffield as part of changes to the South Yorkshire network. SMT Bus and Coach's new number 27 service began on 5 October, linking Rotherham with Moorgate, Whiston, Ulley, Swallownest, Aston, Aughton, Beighton and Crystal Peaks. A new number 63 service between Sheffield city centre and Crystal Peaks also began on 5 October. A separate number 43 weekend service between Rotherham and Meadowhall is scheduled to begin on Saturday 10 October.
