Police have increased patrols in Darnall after a large gathering of people on Catley Road in Sheffield in the early hours of Sunday morning.
South Yorkshire Police say they received reports of the gathering at 5.30am. Officers attended and the group dispersed at around 8.40am. The force says the event largely passed without incident.
After the group dispersed, police received a report of criminal damage, with the road reported to have been graffitied. The force says this is in the process of being removed.
Neighbourhoods Inspector Andrew Rimmer said: "We understand that this gathering will have caused concern within the local community." He described it as "a contained incident involving a nationally coordinated gathering in front of a locked bus compound" and said there is no intelligence to suggest any wider risk to the local community.
Inspector Rimmer added that officers continue to monitor the location, with additional patrols in place to provide reassurance. He encouraged anyone who sees officers in the area to stop and speak to them about any concerns.
