Young people can face risk outside of their home, this can happen in their community, online, or in their relationships. These risks include things like being groomed or exploited.
The Community Safeguarding team want to help young people to stay safe. We also want to support families, so they know what to look out for and where to get help.
This workshop is for parents and carers; it will help you:
• learn what “Risk Outside the Home” means and why it matters • spot signs that a young person might be groomed • know what to do and where to go for help if you're worried
It takes place at Stocksbridge Junior School, Cedar Road, Sheffield, S36 1AS on Monday 2 November 2026, from 10.00am to 12.00pm. Places can be reserved through the council's sign-up form.
