Sheffield Council seminar to help parents support their child's early learning

Sheffield City Council is hosting a seminar called Helping Your Child Reach Their Potential, looking at ideas to support parents in helping their child get off to a good start.

The session will cover choosing a skill to teach, breaking the skill into steps, choosing rewards, deciding when and where to teach, using effective teaching strategies, and keeping track and reviewing progress.

It takes place on Wednesday 11 November 2026, from 10.00am to 11.30am. Places can be reserved through the council's sign-up form, and anyone who has booked can cancel their place using the email address they used to book.
