A training session for practitioners who work with families of teenagers is being run by Sheffield City Council as part of its Sheffield Parent Hub programme.
The Family Focus (Teen) day is aimed at professionals, with the aim of giving them the confidence to help parents of teenagers use Family Focus strategies with their own children.
According to the council, practitioners taking part will look at the factors that influence teenagers' behaviour and develop a clearer understanding of adolescent development.
The session will also explore evidence-based strategies for strengthening positive family relationships, coaching new skills and managing emotional behaviour, along with the theory underpinning those positive parenting approaches.
It runs on Tuesday 24 November 2026 from 9.30am to 3.00pm at Stadia Technology Park, 60 Shirland Lane, Sheffield S9 3SP.
Places can be reserved through the Sheffield Parent Hub sign-up form on the council's website, and anyone who has already booked can cancel their place by entering the email address they used to book.
