Young people can face risk outside of their home, this can happen in their community, online, or in their relationships. These risks include things like being groomed or exploited.
The Community Safeguarding team want to help young people to stay safe. They also want to support families, so they know what to look out for and where to get help.
The workshop is for parents and carers. It will help you learn what "Risk Outside the Home" means and why it matters, spot signs that a young person might be groomed, and know what to do and where to go for help if you're worried.
It takes place at Meynell Primary School on Meynell Road, Sheffield, S5 8GN, on Friday 11 December 2026 from 10.00am to 12.00pm. Places can be reserved through the council's sign-up form, and anyone who has booked can cancel their place using the email address they booked with.
