More than £2.15 million has been raised to bring Sheffield its first MRI simulator dedicated specifically to cancer treatment.
Weston Park Cancer Charity's campaign raised £2,151,030 in total.
The scanner will be based at Weston Park Cancer Centre and will help clinicians target tumours more precisely, reduce damage to healthy tissue, improve radiotherapy planning and create new cancer research opportunities.
The charity described the fundraising total as a brilliant achievement, and said the equipment could benefit cancer patients across the region for years to come.
