Sheffield City Council is holding an introduction and awareness session on Sheffield Family Connect, its approach to supporting children and families.
The session runs on Tuesday 15 December 2026, from 1.00pm to 1.30pm.
By the end of the session, the council says participants will understand the purpose of Sheffield Family Connect and the principle of "Mobilise before we escalate". They will be introduced to the three stages: CONNECT, PLAN and PROTECT.
Those taking part will also look at why it matters to involve children, families and their wider support networks in decision-making, and how they can contribute to the approach within their own roles and organisations.
There will be a chance to find out more about the Sheffield Family Connect Champion opportunity and how to express an interest, as well as to ask questions and find out where to access further information.
Places can be reserved through the council's sign-up form, and anyone who has booked can cancel their place using the email address they used to book.
