Police appeal to identify off-road bike rider after Sheffield collision

South Yorkshire Police are investigating reports of dangerous driving following a collision in Sheffield, and are keen to speak to the rider of an off-road bike shown in photographs and a video clip.

On Sunday 11 October at 8.35am, it is understood that the driver of a blue Vauxhall Astra was turning from Middlewood Road onto Catch Bar Lane at traffic lights when a bike collided with their car.

The rider of the bike failed to stop and fled the scene before officers arrived, police say.

Anyone who recognises the rider, or who believes they can help, is asked to get in touch quoting incident number 199 of 27 October 2026.
